This may cause some panic but don\u00b4t worry we\u00b4ll explain how to <strong>unblock your IP<\/strong> and how it got in the first place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Why did my IP get blocked in the first place?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Your IP can get blocked for a number of reasons, but here are the most common:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Conflicting with your firewall<\/li><li>You made multiple unsuccessful login requests<\/li><li>Because of suspicious operations<\/li><li>You connected from a restricted location<\/li><li>Rule violation<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>As you see, there\u00b4s a number of reasons why your IP could have gotten blocked. IP blocking usually varies according to web page terms or restrictions, so you probably got your IP blocked accidentally, so don\u00b4t worry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How do I unblock my IP address?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As with <strong>IP blocking<\/strong>, unblocking the IP can vary depending on the web\u00b4s <strong>terms <\/strong>and <strong>restrictions <\/strong>so there isn\u2019t a single way to do it that will work all the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some sites will inform you of the <strong>IP block<\/strong> through an email giving you the reasons why you were blocked. They will then ask you to wait at least 24 hrs until you get automatically unblocked by the server. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>But the majority of sites won\u00b4t notify you when you\u00b4re blocked. For that reason, here\u00b4s some things you can do to <strong>unblock your IP:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1) See why you got blocked<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If the site doesn\u00b4t notify that you\u00b4ve been <strong>blocked<\/strong>, you can read the <strong>terms and conditions<\/strong> of the site and see if you\u00b4re not following one of their guidelines. If it\u00b4s the case just try contacting the site or wait for a day until they <strong>unblock your IP<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2) Make sure you configured your mail server correctly<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Any <strong>wrongly placed character<\/strong> could flag your network on a blacklist and potentially block your <strong>IP address.<\/strong> To get off of the blacklist you\u00b4ll have to correct forward <strong>DNS records<\/strong> and <strong>SMTP banners<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3) Check for updates<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Before anything, check for any type of <strong>malware <\/strong>in your computer to see if its conflicting with your IP. Then see if there are any <strong>updates available<\/strong> to your computer. These updates usually correct any security issues which will allow you to unblock your IP<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4) Connect to a different network<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Changing the <strong>Wifi network<\/strong> you login to will automatically change your IP address. This will let you access the site you had your IP blocked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5) Use a VPN service<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>VPN services<\/strong> will let you connect to different networks, thus changing your <strong>IP <\/strong>every time. Using a VPN will allow you to use a different IP and keep connecting to any sites that would have blocked your address.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">6) Contact the site<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally,  <strong>contact the site<\/strong> your IP got blocked on. They\u00b4ll give you insight on why your <strong>IP <\/strong>got blocked and can <strong>unblock it<\/strong> themselves, with no need of doing the steps mentioned earlier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the end, having your <strong>IP temporarily blocked<\/strong> is something that happens frequently. Although it seems panicky at first,  it\u00b4s a small problem with an easy solution that shouldn\u00b4t take much of your time to fix, so don\u00b4t worry. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We hope this article was useful.
