Obtain the domain EPP Code (Auth Code)  Print this Article

The EPP Transfer Key (also called authorization code or AUTH code) is needed to transfer certain types of domain names from one registrar to another. This security feature is intended to help prevent unauthorized transfers.

For an incoming domain transfer :

To obtain your domain's EPP key in order to transfer your domain to us, please contact your current domain registrar directly and ask them for this information. In many cases, they will provide you with an online interface so you may retrieve this information directly.

For an outgoing domain transfer :

If your domain name is currently registered with us and you wish to transfer it to another regisrtar, you can request your EPP key from the Client Area, under My Domains > Request EPP Transfer Code. The EPP key will be sent to the Administrative Contact's email address within a few minutes of your request. This email address is listed in the Contact Information section. Please remember to deactivate the Registrar lock on your domain before initiating a transfer.
